Failed hackintosh laptop; switching hackintosh to desktop

This is really sad for me. My hackintosh Acer laptop works very well, but several hardware doesn't interact well with the OS X because it lacks drivers. I tried to install the "Working" LAN driver for my LAN controller, Broadcom's BCM5787M chip. I installed through step-by-step guidelines on InsanelyMac's website, but I lost all of extensions in "/System/Library/Extensions" folder, and the system can't start up again after the next reboot. I think that I would stop hackintoshing this thing, and I decided to change my hackintosh machine into my desktop computer at home (also powered by Intel Core 2 Duo, but at 2.66 GHz), since it is a custom-configured hardware, and I think that this would work better, and can make all hardware work under OS X.
